The Show Choir was started back in April 2013. Initially, there was 1 choir based in Leigh-on-Sea. Word soon spread, and by September 2013 it was obvious more venues were required in different areas of the town. Ashingdon and Thorpe Bay choirs were created and very soon our membership across the 3 choirs totaled around 185 people.
During the pandemic, like everyone else, we were forced to move to online rehearsals via Zoom. Obviously, this was a difficult period for the choir and naturally, numbers reduced. However, they started to pick up again when face-to-face rehearsals were resumed and the choir continued to grow.
